I recently changed my dental provider and went with Modern Dentistry in Bellaire. I have not been going routinely to any Dentist, so everything was definitely Modern and amazing to me. First, I have to say the staff were all very friendly and helpful. Kay, one of the assistants gave great verbal information while doing the x-rays. Dr. Namrata Singh was friendly, caring, and informative and got a whole picture of my dental history before recommending what treatment was needed or could wait. Her skills were on point and she made sure I could not feel pain. Nicole the Hygienist was amazing. She was immediately engaging and friendly. She put me at ease with her questions and knew exactly how to clean and scale while describing what she was doing. There was never a slip or an oops and the plague must have come right off easily because she did not have to pick and scrape like I have experienced at other times in a dentist chair. Jeffrey the Benefits Coordinator was friendly and helpful as he showed me on the screen what the treatment plan would cost and what parts my dental insurance was taking care of. It has always been my experience in that past that this is where issues can occur; billing and coding. In my conversations with Jeffrey, I am confident that he knows exactly what needs to be done. Hoping not to get the extra run around from my Dental Insurance to re submit this or that; not sure if that is just a dental insurance company norm or an in-house dentist office staff competence issue. Here are my observations that were amazing to me: 1.) Check in on phone; no more I-pads. 2.) Swishing a solution for 30 seconds for lab to check bacterial levels in mouth. 3.) 360 degree scan of whole head for imaging pictures. 4.) Vivid pictures of every tooth where you can see plague or old dental work. 5.) Dr. Singh gathering whole dental history of what she sees on x rays. 6.) Crowns made in house with the scanning of teeth, no more bad tasting putty for making molds. 7.) Crowns made in house means no temp crown and having to come back. 8.) Able to grind the crown to fit correct bite and then x-rays to make sure crowns are seated correctly. I whole heartily recommend Modern Dentistry in Bellaire, Dr. Namrata Singh and Hygienist Nicole! I am having my whole family switch over.
